ARIEL Theatrical has opened registration for Spring Conservatory Programs. Programs within each Conservatory vary by minimum age for participation and complexity of material. YOU'RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN, with performance opportunities for those 12-17, begins March 20. Registration is open through the first scheduled rehearsal or until programs are full. PacRep Theatre’s School of Dramatic Arts announces its 2012 Spring Session, with classes Monday through Friday from January 30 through April 6, 2012 at SoDa's home facility, Carmel’s Indoor Forest Theatre, Mountain View Avenue and Santa Rita Street, Carmel. PacRep’s SoDA program encompasses key principles of performance with core classes that focus on acting, singing, stage movement, scene/set/costume design, mime, and stage combat. Electives, including film acting, Shakespeare, improv comedy, SoDA Glee and Play Production are also offered for beginners as well as seasoned performers, from ages 6 to 18, as well as adults. Program Director Gracie Poletti heads the SoDA program with highly experienced resident staff, Maryann Rousseau (Program Director Emerita, Actress and Movement Specialist), Brittney Klambough (BA Theatre Arts, screenplay writer and producer), MaryLee Sunseri (Winner of four Parent’s Choice Awards, Musician, Vocalist), Diane Wiese Goyette (Credentialed Theatre Arts Teacher), Lyla Englehorn (BA Theatre Arts, Musical Director, Choreographer) and Stevie McKim (Choreographer and Dance Instructor). Tuition for the ten week session is $200 per class. Scholarships as well as multiple classes, returning student and sibling discounts are available. Registration continues for fall classes at the Carmel Academy of Performing Arts, Mission and 8th in Carmel! The Academy's program includes classes for toddlers through adults and offers classes in private music instruction - dance, theatre, acrobatics, voice and musical instruments.
